John Ernest Biddinger was born on January 11, 1942 in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Anne (Stehlik) Biddinger. He grew up in Oelwein and graduated from Oelwein High School in 1960. Enlisted in U. S. Navy after graduation and after four years he was honorable discharged. He worked for a while in Oregon and came back to Oelwein in 1967. He was united in marriage to Edith Miller on April 20, 1968 at the Baptist Church in Oelwein. He worked for M & W Vern’s TV and later for Ace Hardware. John loved to ride his motorcycle and Edith would ride along most of the time. They got to see a lot of the country from the back of a bike. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening. John touched a lot of lives and left many good memories. He will surly be missed.
John is survived by his wife, Edith, three sisters, Shirley (Don) Miller of Surprise, Arizona, Ann (Curley) Klimes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Nancy (Roy) Miller of Monmouth, Oregon, a brother, Steve (Connie) Biddinger of Dallas, Oregon and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Anne and a nephew, Mark Biddinger.
Friends may call from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein. A private family service will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Geilenfeld Funeral Chapel.
