Cody worked with a friend helping him do roofing. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed the great outdoors, hiking, kayaking, target shooting, woodworking, even cutting fire wood and hanging out with his friends, but his greatest love was his time with his children especially taking them with him into the woods. Cody had many friends and a wonderful family and will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his children: Madison Voshell, Coda Dowd and Cade Dowd all of Oelwein; his mother Sue (Robert) Bellmer of Oelwein; his brothers: Rocky Dowd and Ethan Dowd of Oelwein; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Dowd; grandmother Phyllis Banning and aunt Angie Beaman.
