Dale Kraft
May 31, 1937 - May 3, 2018

Dale Kraft, 80, of Hiawatha passed away on Thursday May 3, 2018 at his home.  Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Monday May 7, 2018 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein.  Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein with Rev. Josh Schunk officiating.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein at a later date.  A memorial fund has been established.  

Dale Jacob Kraft was born in Oelwein on May 31, 1937 to parents George and Mabel (Gerken) Kraft.  He graduated from Stanley High School.  Following graduation, Dale began working for AMPI in Oelwein and then in Arlington.  He later was employed with Carter’s Farms in Stanley.  On August 21, 1976 he was united in marriage with Pat Perez in Oelwein.

Dale loved riding motorcycles and rode until just a few years ago.  He enjoyed mowing his lawn, watching and feeding birds, and fishing.  He also enjoyed going out to eat and visiting with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his wife Pat; his children: Kelly (Joel Pepper) McCarville of Cedar Rapids, Laura Cordes, Cindy Muehlings, Karen Klouse, George Wayne and Steven Kraft; his grandchildren: Austin, Caidan, Madelynn, Ian, Taran, Daigen, as well as many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Steven Perez; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Rodney Wayne; his twin brother Roy Kraft and his sister Dorothy Roberts.

Pretty sad that not all of his children or grandchildren were listed. Speaks volumes to about his narcissistic wife Pat and narcissist daughter Kelly.

Dale you were a wonderful 2nd dad and a wonderful man that I always saw with great morals and always cared for his dear wife Pat and his children. Pat and family please cherish his jokes and his memories of all the things he did. Heaven gained an angel and he will be watching over all of you. Dale you will be missed forever and rest in peace.
