So sorry to see Diane's passing. I just learned this today 10/1/19 while meeting with other cousins discovered through the years related to my mother Gladys and Diane's mother, my Aunt Helen. I know it has been years since I stopped in Oelwein and surprised Diane, but feels like yesterday and was so good to see her. Aunt Helen, Uncle Bee and family were the only Swanson family descendants I ever knew growing up. Visiting Iowa was always very special to my mother Gladys and for me seeing my cousins Sharon, Dennis, and Diane. In recent years I have learned so much about our family. If any relatives would like to discuss or learn more my contact number is 309-685-8697. I am still in Peoria, IL where the Swanson family legacy started. My sincere sympathies to Diane's family....Joe Berger

Dear Grandma Diane, I miss you so much. Just a few months ago, you were sitting down talking to me about when you died I would miss me.I think of you everyday. I'm sorry you had to go through all the pain. But you are with God, and I know God is going to take good care of you.

My deepest sympathies go out to the entire family. Diane was a very special person. She was introduced to our family when my sister found Denny, the love of her life. Diane immediately welcomed us all into the McQueen family. Her sense of humor will never be forgotten. What a very sweet lady. She will be missed.

to all the family,
My prayers and sympathy are with you all. Your mom was a great neighbor having lived in that neighborhood for years, where everyone knew everyone and shared life day by day.

I am sorry to hear she has passed and her and Kenny are together again.

Wishing you all peace and love !!
