I am sorry to here of Gene's passing. You have my sympathy.
I know it has been years since I have been to the yard. I always enjoyed sparing we Gene over a parts deal. I always had a good time joking with Gene. He had that tough guy image, but was really just a teddy bear.

Will miss forever going out for parts to the yard and him yelling across the yard what do you want? Pretty gruff, but great when you got to know him. Sympathies to Melody and family and Tina and family and the boys and their families.

What a gruff teddy bear. I will miss his grin and that innocent look when I would catch him doing something he wasn't supposed to. An honor for me to have known Gene and his family. He will be missed at Grandview.

Growing up Gene was always Santa to me, I swore he looked just like him when I was little! Then to find out Santa was my uncle, woohoo!! Gene and Pat were always meant to be together I don't think we ever seen one without the other, had to be pretty unbearable for him once she passed. Now they are blissfully happy together. Condolences to his children and grandchildren.

We lived neighbors to Gene and his family when we were young children growing up on the farm west of Arlington. Gene loved to ride in my buggy hitched to my Shetland pony. Never knew where he lived after we moved away in 1946. Our sympathy to the family. God Bless.
