Jack McQuarters
October 1, 1949 - September 12, 2016

Jackie “Jack” McQuarters, 66, of Oelwein passed away on Monday September 12, 2016 at Grandview Health Care Center.  Memorial visitation services will be from 3-5 PM on Friday September 16, 2016 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Ross Reid Post 9 of Oelwein.

Jack was born on October 1, 1949 in Gary, IN to parents Charles and Mae McQuarters.  He graduated from High School in Gary, IN.  Jack served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam, where he received the Purple Heart.  He had been employed as a truck driver with Dorsett Brothers Concrete Supply of Pasadena, TX for many years.  On March 2, 2007 he was united in marriage with Patricia Koch in Baytown, TX.  Jack was a hard working, good hearted man who helped everyone he could.

Left to celebrate his life is his wife Pat; his step-children: Douglas Brown, Scott Brown, Debra Welfer, JD Kuch, Sonny Kuch and Irene Doudney; his sister Teresa McQuarters; his brothers: Mike and Robert McQuarters; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Charles McQuarters and his step-son Donald Kuch.
