Kenneth Ralston
December 24, 1931 - September 25, 2016

Kenneth “Kenny” L. Ralston, 84, of Oelwein passed away on Sunday September 25, 2016 at Cedar Falls Health Care Center in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein. Services will be on Thursday, September 29 at 10:30 AM at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein with Pastor Steve Schulz officiating. Burial will be at the Walker Cemetery in Walker Iowa.

Kenny was born on December 24, 1931 in rural Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Hollis and Edna (Savage) Ralston. He graduated from the Fairbank High School in 1951. After graduating Kenny joined the U. S. Army and was in the Korean War. He worked for John Deere from 1956 to his retirement in 1986. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and even going to some of the races with his family. He was very close to his family especially the grandchildren and later the great grandchildren. They would go to see him often after he had to go to the nursing home. He will dearly be missed by all.

He is survived by his two sons, Larry (Renae) Ralston of Fairbank, Iowa and Randy (Deb) Ralston of Fairfax, Iowa; three grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) Ralston, Jayson (Kaiya) Ralston and Ashley (Loren) Lehman; seven great grandchildren, Laney, Brinley, Macey and Tyler Ralston, Regan and Ellis Ralston and Aubrey Lehman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Artis and Joe Boddicker.
