Kimberly Matthews
October 1, 1966 - April 1, 2016

Kimberly Matthews, 49, of Oelwein passed away on Friday April 1, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.  A celebration of Kimmy’s life is being planned for a later date.  Memorials may be directed to her family.

Kimberly Ann Matthews was born on October 1, 1966 in Waterloo to parents Rex LeRoy and Sherry Ann (Lawerence) Anderson.  She graduated from the Dunkerton High School with the class of 1986.  On February 27, 1988 she was united in marriage with Robert Matthews.  They later divorced.  She was employed with Subway in Independence for 18 years.  Kimmy enjoyed singing Karaoke and spending time with her friends and family.

Left to celebrate Kimmy’s life are her children: David (Jessica) Matthews of Oelwein and Kelly (Robert) McClaren of Oelwein; her brother Dick Anderson of Montezuma; her sister Sheila (Mike) Pepin of Oelwein; her grandchildren: Selena, Michael, Kayden, Landon and one on the way; her ex-husband Robert (Trish) Matthews of Hazleton; as well as her many friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
