Lori ,
We met you in the summer of ‘ 74. When a young fresh faced Iowan girl flew to the UK to spend 3 months in Yorkshire . That time was spent full of youthful exuberance , hope for the future, forging new friendships and love and a lot of laughter .
Then ... we all got on with our lives and lost contact with you .
But , 45 years later in a cruel twist of fate we found you again after Rick had passed .
We came to see you and came to stay with you that year and the few days we had with you were as if we had been friends forever , we were back being 18 again and had days full of reminiscing, laughter ... much laughter and planning the many trips we would take you [ and Dana ] on in the future ... we hope it took your mind off your grief .
Another cruel twist of fate has now taken you away from us and now we are the ones who must mourn the loss of you .
But , we now have new memories and photos to remember you by .
You will always be in our hearts , thoughts and prayers and we are so grateful to have been a part of your life , if only for a short while .
Goodnight and god bless ,
Onions , Goose and Wheelie .

Dear Dana, and the entire Ohl Family ~

We were shocked to learn of Lori’s passing. She will live on through those fortunate to be recipients of her selfless act of donating her organs.

It was always great to run into Lori; her humor always brightened my day, (and made my schedule to be off an half hour while we talked and laughed)!

May God Bless Lori with Eternal Peace.
