January 11, 1965 - March 20, 2019

Michael DeHart, 54, of Oelwein passed away on Wednesday March 20, 2019 at the University Of Iowa Hospital. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM on Monday March 25, 2019 at Geilenfeld Funeral Home. Inurnment will be private. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Michael Andrew DeHart was born in Waterloo, Iowa on January 11, 1965 to parents Jerry and Dorothy (Ricks) DeHart. He attended Oelwein schools. Michael worked for many years in construction.

He is survived by his children: Megan Miller, Dakota Veber and Dalton Veber; his mother Dorothy DeHart of Oelwein; his brother Jerry (Libby) DeHart of Indiana; his sisters: Donna (Tom) Gloede of Oelwein and Loreann of Oklahoma; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Jerry DeHart; his grandparents: Katie Anthony, Herman and Dena Ricks.

Michael, wow doesn't seem possible you are gone, for years it was you and I against the world, we found plenty of adventure and chaos to get into.
