Steve Payne
March 14, 1955 - December 25, 2011

Steve Payne, 56, of Des Moines, and formerly of Oelwein died Sunday, December 25, 2011. 

Steve was born on March 14, 1955, the son of William and Bernita Payne.

He is survived by his brother Jeff (Bonnie) Payne of Des Moines; his neice Holly (Aaron) Blaine and thier children: Savannah, Brandon, and Joslin of Ankeny; and his niece Jessica (Steve) Leverette, also of Ankeny.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

Services for Steve will be held at a later date.

As a former USB employee, I think we can all agree Steven made our day. Very saddened to hear this. I hope he has found peace and a place to call home. He always talked about living on an island.

Steven will be greatly missed. I met him while working at US Bank, and really enjoyed getting to know him. All of us girls looked forward to him coming in nearly every day, and always showing us his colorful variety of clothes. He always put a smile on my face. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
