Lucille E. “Pat” Ford was born on July 25, 1922 in Oelwein, Iowa the daughter of Royal and Edna (McDonnell) Wolfe. She grew up in Oelwein and graduated from SacredHeartCatholicHigh School in 1940. On November 27, 1946 she was united in marriage to Elery J. Ford at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein, Iowa. Pat enjoyed sewing, quilting, crossword puzzles, playing cards, cooking, baking and especially spending time with her two granddaughters, Cecilia and Jeneva. She was a life time member of Sacred Heart and Sacred Heart Rosary Society and always baked or cooked something for the many funeral dinners there. She touched many lives and made many friends and along with her family they will all dearly miss her.
Pat is survived by her two sons, James of Marion, Iowa and John, and his wife, Irene of Monticello, Wisconsin and two granddaughters, Cecilia and Jeneva; also a sister Donita Watts of Marion and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elery (January 27, 2008), a sister, Kathleen Burke and a brother, Donald Wolfe and her parents, Royal and Edna.
Services for Pat are; visitation is from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday at Geilenfeld Funeral Chapel where there will be a Parish Scripture Service at 7:30 pm. The funeral Mass will be on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein at 11:00 am with burial at WoodlawnCemetery in Oelwein. A memorial fund has been established by the family in her name.
