Just surfing the NET and spotted this sad announcment. My parents were Reg & Violet Stofer from London, England. My parents came to Canada in 1912 and i was born in Victoria,B.C.. My mother always told me that if there was another STOFER spelled the same way, then they had to be relatives. I am sorry for your loss,[and my intrusion], but my curiosity got the better of me. I am 93, I went to England in WW2 and served with the R.A.F. for 5 years, during the war, in England, South Africa, India and Burma.. Still in pretty good health and thankful for it. I just had to drop a line. Yours, Kenneth Harold Stofer

My deepest sympathy to Mary, Sue/Bruce, Dale/Pat, Family and Friends,

When I was in High School, I was ticketed by Oelwein PD for Squeeling my tires. When I went in the military, and they did a background check all they saw was TS Tires and thought it meant "Tire Stealing"! I had to have Dick explain to the Coast Guard that I really was a good kid and it was for squeeling not stealing! It seem every promotion this came up. So, I guess I owe a successful military career to Dick, who else would ever had taken that time! Thank You Dick, you will be missed.

Dear Mary and family,
I am deeply saddened to learn of Dutch's passing. Any time we visited in passed years, he always had an anecdote from his magistrate years or some sound advice in a way that only he could deliver. I will treasure those times. My sincere sympathy to all of you at this time of loss.
