March 17, 1956 - June 10, 2015

Susan Liebe, 59, of Carter Lake, IA passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2015. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Tuesday June 16, 2015 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held privately with inurnment in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein. Memorials may be directed to the family. For condolences, please visit www.geilenfeldfh.com.

Susan was born in Highland Park, MI on March 17, 1956 to parents Theodore and Josephine (Love) Benson. She graduated from Stevenson High School in Livonia, MI in 1974. On August 2, 1975 Susan was united in marriage with Kent Liebe in Drayton Plains, MI. She attended Northwood University in Midland, MI. When Kent and Susan lived in Oelwein, she had been employed with Regions Bank. She had also been employed as a Medical Assistant. Susan enjoyed swimming, kayaking and her family.

Left to celebrate Susan’s life is her husband Kent Liebe; her children: Aron and Troy Liebe; her grandchildren: Blake and Emilee Liebe; her sisters: Judy Crain and Betsy Mason; and her in-laws: Wayne and Judy Liebe. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lyle Fox forwarded a notice of Susan Liebe's passing to me, Judy Crain. The notice states sister, Judy Crain, however, I am not the Judy Crain, sister of Susan Liebe, located in Michigan.
