I went to school with Mary Beth. I know they are together! Everytime I saw Mama Sperry, she asked what I was doing. I told her I was coaching the girls softball team in Oelwein... She came to a few games (which Mary Beth was a part of)and I so loved that she was there. I am so blessed to have known her and I loved her spirt of sport and volunteerism. She was one of a kind!

Dear Sperry family,
Verla was a kind and wonderful woman. She not only loved and supported her family, she adopted every wrestling team she grew to know. On behalf of all wrestlers throughout the state, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to her and Albert for the enormous support they gave us. May your fond memories of her provide you comfort and strength. God bless.
