Addie Nissen, 27, of Fairbank passed away Monday August 5, 2024, at MercyOne Medical Center in Oelwein. A Memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 AM on Wednesday August 14, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairbank with Fr. Ray Atwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to River Hills School.
Addie Amelia Nissen was born in Waterloo on December 27, 1996, to parents Jason and Dodi (Trimble) Nissen. She attended and graduated from River Hills School in Cedar Falls with the class of 2018.
Addie loved listening to music and singing along to her favorite songs. She was a book lover and had an extensive library which included some hard-to-find books. She enjoyed playing board games and no one could beat her at Memory or UNO. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Left to celebrate Addie’s life are her parents: Jason and Dodi of Fairbank; her brother Sam (Nat Jones) of Fairbank; her grandparents: Rich (Wanda) Nissen of Hutchinson, KS, Glenda Nissen of Cedar Rapids and Donna Trimble of Fairbank; her aunts and uncles: Matthew Nissen, Travis Nissen, Darin (Annette) Trimble, Danny (Katie) Trimble and Desiree Trimble; her cousins Matthew Jay (Lauren) Nissen, David (Gabby) Nissen, Kaitlin (Stephen) Trimble, Adessa Dralle and Lily Dralle.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather David Trimble, her grandfather Michael Pasley and her cousin Jared Trimble.
