Arthur A. Orlowski, 89, of Oelwein passed away on Sunday June 21, 2015 at Mercy Living Plus in Oelwein.  Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at 3:00 PM, with visitation before from 1:00 to 3:00 PM all at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein.  Inurnment will be at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Arthur was born on May 11, 1926, the ninth child of August and Augusta (Gratke) Orlowski at Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.  He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1944.  Art served two years in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre.

In 1953 he married Lorraine Teetshor; they had one daughter, Ronda, and later were divorced.

In March of 1964 he married Janet Biver.  They had two children, Amy and Jim.  He worked for Interstate Power Company for 39 years, retiring in 1988.  Art was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein.

Survivors include his wife Janet; daughter Ronda and Troy Foley of Independence; daughter Amy and Mark Grider of Lee's Summit, Missouri; son Jim Orlowski and Malcolm Johns of San Antonio, Texas; step-daughter, Ruth Ann and Alton Iverson of Cresco; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and four brothers.
