Barbara Jean Boylan, 84, of Oelwein died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at East Towne Care Center in Independence. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Barb was born on April 5, 1928 in Danville, IL to parents Goeffery and Marie (Bush) Mosley. She grew up in Chicago and attended Proviso East High School.
On July 26, 1946, Barb was united in marriage with Elmer “Bud” Boylan. Barb was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, and had worked as a Med-Aide in various nursing homes. She loved to play Bingo, as well as travelling throughout the United States attending NASCAR races.
Barb will be dearly missed by all who knew, and continue to love her.
Left to celebrate Barb’s life are her three sons: David (Lorraine) Boylan of Addison, IL, Douglas Boylan of independence, and William (Pam) Boylan of Cumming, IA; her three daughters: Nancy (Raymond) Jensen of San Antonio, TX, Sherry (Art) Meike of Oelwein, and Lori (Randy) Legler of Winterset; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
In death, Barb has rejoined her parents, her husband, and her grandson Rommel Jensen.
