I knew Galen and Gorden from Hazelton elementary school. Met them again when I passed through Oelwein while in the service. Galen was a warm sole and I enjoyed scrapping around with him after school. I didn't have many to look up to growing up but always looked up to the Kunkles. I am so sorry I didn't get to meet him again. He was a great guy. He will be missed. Condolences to the Kunkle family. I feel pain even though I have not seen him for years.
