Joanne Rogge, 66, of Oelwein passed away Saturday January 25, 2020 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.  Visitation will be from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM on Thursday January 30, 2020 at the Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home.  Services will then begin at 12:00 PM.  Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein.  A memorial fund has been established.

Joanne was born December 27, 1953 in Dunbar, WV, the daughter of Emmett and Rosella (Davis) Carte.  She attended school in Dunbar, graduating with the class of 1971.  Joanne was united in marriage with Jay Rickert and they later divorced.  She later married Mack Estep and they later divorced.  On May 13, 1989 she was united in marriage with Michael Rogge at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein.  Joanne had been employed as a waitress at various restaurants and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed cooking and putting together cookbooks of her favorite recipes.  She also enjoyed BINGO, gardening and her friends and family.  She will be dearly missed by them.

Left to celebrate Joanne’s life is her husband Mike; her children: Mike Rickert of Oelwein and Christina Lane of Oelwein; her grandson: Blake Hummel of Oelwein; her brother Bill Carte of Hurricane, WV.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Deloras and Carolyn; her brother Charles; and her nephew Richard Carte.
