Jayson Michael Jordan was born on February 20, 1982 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Dirk Jordan and Rayne Ackerson (Morehouse). He attended school in Oelwein and graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2001. On August 19, 2006 Jayson was united in marriage to Tona Trumblee at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Jayson worked for Jim Thoma on his hog farm near Jesup.
He would do anything for anyone who asked, especially his brothers. Jayson could make friends in an instant and everyone loved him. He enjoyed hunting (geese, deer or just anything brown), riding and working on his Harley, if it had wheels and a motor he would drive it and in some cases until it blew. Jason was so proud of his shop key. He’s the type of person who couldn’t sit still. He was really looking forward to South Dakota with his grandpa. He had a lot of friends and a big family and they will all miss him dearly.
Jayson is survived by his wife, Tona of Jesup, parents, Dirk Jordan of Center Point and Rayne Ackerson of Virginia, in-laws, Gary and Phyllis Trumblee of Hazleton, siblings, Jerry (Stacy) Jordan of Hazleton, Mitchell Jordan of Anamosa, Amanda Ackerson of Oklahoma, Troy (Julie) Trumblee, Tim (Sherrie) Trumblee and Tyler (Amie) Trumblee all of Hazleton and Brian Rhines of Oelwein, grandparents, Jane Ackerson of Waterloo, Robert Ackerson of Cedar Rapids, Jerry and Kathy Jordan of Center Point, Consuelo Ledesma of Oelwein, nine nieces, eleven nephews and many aunts and uncles.
