Jayson M. Jordan
February 20, 1982 - August 5, 2010

Jayson Michael Jordan was born on February 20, 1982 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Dirk Jordan and Rayne Ackerson (Morehouse). He attended school in Oelwein and graduated from Kirkwood Community College in 2001. On August 19, 2006 Jayson was united in marriage to Tona Trumblee at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Jayson worked for Jim Thoma on his hog farm near Jesup.

He would do anything for anyone who asked, especially his brothers. Jayson could make friends in an instant and everyone loved him. He enjoyed hunting (geese, deer or just anything brown), riding and working on his Harley, if it had wheels and a motor he would drive it and in some cases until it blew. Jason was so proud of his shop key. He’s the type of person who couldn’t sit still. He was really looking forward to South Dakota with his grandpa. He had a lot of friends and a big family and they will all miss him dearly.

Jayson is survived by his wife, Tona of Jesup, parents, Dirk Jordan of Center Point and Rayne Ackerson of Virginia, in-laws, Gary and Phyllis Trumblee of Hazleton, siblings, Jerry (Stacy) Jordan of Hazleton, Mitchell Jordan of Anamosa, Amanda Ackerson of Oklahoma, Troy (Julie) Trumblee, Tim (Sherrie) Trumblee and Tyler (Amie) Trumblee all of Hazleton and Brian Rhines of Oelwein, grandparents, Jane Ackerson of Waterloo, Robert Ackerson of Cedar Rapids, Jerry and Kathy Jordan of Center Point, Consuelo Ledesma of Oelwein, nine nieces, eleven nephews and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Felipe Ledesma and Ray and Lavon Trumblee.

I will miss Jayson also--I knew Jayson when he was a little kid and when he was a teenager, I was like his second mom. I called him my "little hotdog". Out of the 4 kids I got along with him the most. We tended to like the same things- except the heavy metal music.. I went deer hunting for the first time with him, he shot both our deers before i got a chance. My heart goes out to the whole family!!!

Tona: My heart cries for you. You are such a caring person, and I thank you and Jayson for being there for me when I needed you!! I would love to do the same for you if you need me. I haven't done a good job of keeping in touch, but you can find me through my mom in Waverly. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
