Karen Aubrey
March 19, 1941 - May 5,2015

Karen Ann Aubrey, 74, of Clinton, IA and formerly of Oelwein passed away on Tuesday May 5, 2015 at Mercy Living Plus in Oelwein.  Visitation will be from 10–11:30 AM on Saturday May 9, 2015 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein.  Services will then be at 11:30 AM.  Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein.  A memorial fund has been established.  For condolences, please visit www.geilenfeldfh.com.

Karen was born on March 19, 1941 in Oelwein to parents Arthur and Pauline (Stehlik) Swenson.  She graduated from Oelwein High School in 1958.  On September 29, 1962 Karen was united in marriage with Robert Aubrey in Oelwein.  They later followed the railroad to Clinton, IA where they have resided for the past 21 years.

Karen was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, decorating for Christmas, flowers, playing cards, dancing and her family, especially her grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed.

Left to celebrate Karen’s life is her husband Bob; her sons: Jeff (Donna) of Plano, TX, Brian (Becky) of Janesville, WI, Tim of Marion, IA, and Shawn (Dawn) of Cedar Falls, IA; her 13 grandchildren: Ryan, Brandon, Tanner, Josie, Danielle, Kristen, Tyler, Alyssa, Nikole, Aanya, Sami, Shelby and Cade; and her great-grandson Braxton.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Ellen.

Karen’s sons would like to express their appreciation of their dad for all the great care he gave to their mom.
