Nick Necker, 66, of Elgin passed away on Sunday February 28, 2021. Memorial visitation will be from 11:00 AM-1:00PM on Saturday April 3, 2021 at the Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home in Oelwein. Inurnment will be at a later date in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens at Hazleton. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Due to state and federal guidelines on gatherings regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing is required. Those in attendance are required to wear a mask.
Nick was born in Oelwein on January 3, 1955 to parents Arthur and Betty (Danehy) Necker. He was a big lover of life and family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his parents, brothers, sisters and his many nieces and nephews. He was extremely hard working and loved spending time outdoors. He always had to keep himself busy with many different projects such as gardening and reupholstering furniture.
Nick is survived by his brother Lee Necker (Carol) of Newark, CA, sister May Berry (Don) of Waterloo and brother John Necker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; niece Tammie Tryon; nephew Kenneth Necker; niece Nikki Beaulieau; nephew B.J. Beaulieau; sister Barbara Johnston; brother Dale Necker; sister Mary Galer; brother Ben Blakeslee; and brother Billy Jo Necker.
