Raymond J. “Ray” Dugan, 84, of Oelwein passed away on Sunday December 31, 2017 at Mercy Living Plus in Oelwein. There are no services planned at this time. Geilenfeld Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Ray was born on April 29, 1933 in Fayette, Iowa the son of John and Mabel (Smith) Dugan. On June 21, 1952 he was united in marriage to Henrietta Smith in Oelwein, Iowa. He was employed at Rath Packing in Waterloo until his retirement.

Ray is survived by a daughter, Rita Dugan (special friend-Roger Price) of Oelwein; two sons, Danny Dugan of Oelwein and Terry (Rae) Dugan of LaPorte City, Iowa; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Roger (Roberta) Dugan of Kentucky and Richard Dugan of Garber, Iowa; three sisters, Joyce Yankee of Florida, Mary Lou Oldfather of Oelwein and Betty (Harley) Oelschlager of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta; two sons, David and Carl; a brother, Robert “Bob” Dugan and his parents.
