Alice Annette Reiter (Fox) was born on November 12, 1926 on the family farm near Fairbank, Iowa, the daughter of Ora and Ruth (Fink) Fox. She grew up in the Fairbank area and attended the country school near her home. On January 18, 1953 she was united in marriage to Edward W. Reiter in Fairbank, Iowa. Alice worked for the Oelwein Creamery for many years and later helped Ed with the farming near Westgate, Iowa. After Ed’s retirement they moved to Oelwein. Alice and Ed always did everything together, you never seen one with out the other close by. They seemed to know everybody and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone they met. Alice will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Alice is survived by her children, Harold (Joan) Reiter of Waterman, Illinois, John (Sharlyn) Reiter of Ocala, Florida and Joyce (Brad) Larkin of Lansing, Iowa; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Helen Warnke of Oelwein and Levera Owen of Randalia, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward (3/13/2006), a son Wayne Reiter, a grandson, Jasson, four brothers, Gerald Fox, Melvin Fox, Clifford Fox and Marvin Fox, two sisters, Dorothy Bauer and Elverna Hilsenbeck and her parents, Ora and Ruth.
VISITATION: 3-7 PM on Friday, November 4th at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 1 PM on Saturday, November 5th at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein.
MEMORIALS: May be made to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.
