Rosemary Klingman
November 27, 1946 - December 15, 2024

Rosemary Klingman, 78, of Oelwein passed away Sunday December 15, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center in Oelwein.  There will be no services at this time.  The Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

Rosemary Lee Klingman was born in Waukegan, IL on November 27, 1946 to parents James and Blanche (Byers) Juhl.  She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and then from Gates Business College in Waterloo.  On October 5, 1970 Rosemary was united in marriage with Dennis Klingman in Galena, IL and they later divorced.  She was employed with Northwestern Bell and retired from owning and operating the Old Volga City Opera House.

Rosi loved nothing more than time spent with friends and family.  Rosi was a dedicated mom, a loving little sister, the fun aunt, and a great friend to many.  She was always honest, had a strong work ethic and a clever quick wit.  Rosi always appreciated a good laugh.  As many who knew her will remember, Rosi was an avid baker who was known to show her affection and appreciation for others through her delicious cookies, pies and cakes.  She enjoyed decorating for holidays, having coffee with friends, her beloved pet Mikey, and she could never pass up a good sale.  Always putting others ahead of herself, the kindness and generosity she showed to those she encountered will be deeply missed.

Left to celebrate Rosi’s life are her children: Amanda (Jack) Ryan of Austin, TX and Thomas (Bethany) Klingman of Volga City; her grandchildren: Ben Klingman, Austin Schuhmacher, Magdalene, Jacqueline and Maverick Ryan; her great-granddaughter Ellie Schuhmacher, her siblings: Jim (Deanna) Juhl of Dike and Bonnie Tammen of Grand Haven, MI.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her niece Amy Tammen and her brother-in-law Daryl Tammen.
