So many memories of Shirley shopping at Mike's IGA. She did "major" grocery shopping and it involved many carts that would be pushed up the hill, because of course Shirley never drove. The store lit up when she was in it.
Had a great adventure with your mom when I drove her to the Chicago area for Bill Ottilie's funeral. We shared many stories.
Good memories from the Oelwein ties.
Our sympathies to your family as your remember your mom.

Shirley and I go way back when we had little ones at the same time! She was always ready to have fun and we did have some great times. Her laugh was contagious! Didn't see her as much in later years as we moved but when we did get together it was great! She was always her own special person loved those hats!! Sorry for your loss Jeff,Kim and Dawn!

Shirley was “one in a million” with her vibrant personality, laughter and smile. A special memory I would like to share were the times Shirley would apply my make up and give me a pep talk for the various “balls” during high school. That gave me confidence to face the crowd. Sharing the memories will keep the spirit of Shirley with you.

I am so sorry for your loss. She was a grand lady and always wore a beautiful hat. She even had a hat on the day Jim and Dawn delivered my May baskets. RIP my friend. Love Andrea Hand
